At Broadway, you can expect to be welcomed by friendly people who are genuinely excited to see you. Our gatherings are about an hour long and contain Spirit-filled worship, prayer, and a Biblically-based teaching by our Pastor.
What is the Gospel?
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
[John 3:16]
Gospel means “good news.” It is a message that we want to share with you.
God created everything, and all that He created was very good. But mankind has sinned against God, all have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. Each of us has gone astray and turned to our own way, and rejected God’s way. Our sin makes a separation between us and God, and leaves us deserving death and judgment.
But…
God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. God demonstrates His own love for us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. He took our sins and punishment upon Himself by his crucifixion. Jesus died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, was buried, and rose from the dead on the third day, according to the Scriptures. He appeared to many, and ascended to sit upon the throne of God.
To the one who repents and believes in this good news, that one has forgiveness of sins and eternal life. To the one who trusts in this Jesus, they are saved forever, reconciled to God, adopted as a child of God, and receive the promised Spirit of God in their hearts until Christ comes again.
That’s Good news!
